If so, you could be working with the Health Informatics Centre team (HIC - https://www.dundee.ac.uk/hic/) at the University of Dundee.
HIC are looking to recruit an Infrastructure Specialist for a new and interesting large, 18-month, health data project. The multi-disciplinary project team led by HIC will deliver a UK-wide health data analysis platform for rapid research, linkage and innovation. The outputs of the project will enable the delivery of insights from a comprehensive range of data partners and custodians including key support to government. The team will be looking to curate a standardised dataset accessed across a UK-wide platform for health data and associated datasets.
You are required to develop the management and monitoring tools and system processes to operate the infrastructure in an optimal, proactive manner;
You will be expected to investigate the requirements of the research, software and data teams and to translate these into manageable infrastructure and system solutions;
You will be expected to own and manage your own work streams and projects to completion as well as contribute to others.
Who we’re looking for:
Highly skilled/experienced in cloud architecture and deployment, high performance computing and information security;
Experience of leading/mentoring teams;
Experience of working in ISO27001 environments/secure environments;
A team player with the ability to work using own initiative, deliver outputs within agreed timeframes and work under pressure.
