ABOUT US

The Council of the Inns of Court (COIC) is a charity with the object of advancing education in the administration and practice of the law, including promoting high standards of advocacy. COIC advances this principally through the activities of the Inns of Court College of Advocacy (ICCA) which provides leadership, guidance and co-ordination in relation to the pursuit of excellence in advocacy and professional ethics for barristers. The role of the ICCA is now expanding to include the initial vocational training of barristers, by the development and delivery of a Bar training course.

The Role

VLE Manager

The Council of the Inns of Court (COIC) seeks to recruit a talented VLE Manager with strong Moodle experience commencing in August/September 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our VLE platform, as well as developing a variety of activities and assessments within the VLE. This role is ideal for someone who has experience working within Higher Education. Reporting to the Heads of Online Learning, the new VLE manager will join a small in-house eLearning team.

Financial Package and Benefits

  • Salary £35,000
  • 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays
  • Death in Service Benefit
  • 15% Defined Pension Contribution by the employer (after 3 months)
  • Private Health Insurance (after completion of probation)

Location: COIC and the ICCA are currently based at 9 Gray’s Inn Square, London WC1R 5JD but working remotely until such time as the rules around office-based working are relaxed.
